Welcome to Animal Biotechnology Group

Institute of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, Hubei Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China
We are interested in animal genetic improvements via genomic engineering methods for the development of new livestock varieties. In this scenario, three branches grow from the same root. The first is the innovation and development of novel gene editing technologies. The second is functional genomics to identify causal genetic variants respobsible for economically important phenotypes. The third is looking to highly efficient ways to transform cells into animals.
